Its been ages since I wrote here.Got real busy with college and the upcoming college festival as well.But most importantly its the creative fizz that dies down so very soon after my initial enthusiastic, first attempts.
Thanks sam,AB and all the others who kept reminding and urging me to write on.Will try to be more regular with my posts now.Have read a few good books in the past couple of months, planning to write book reviews soon.

Humanity At Stake

I see humanity at stake,
Human, their nature defaced their integrity fake.
Love and peace have succumed to power,
Evil persist, evil occur,man- the evil doer.

I have seen humble swain moan,
Gallant husband's nuptial knot torn,
Proud mothers at graveyard roar,
Never ever had humanity shed blood more.

Provoke not our life's tranquility,
For when we gather to revive humanity,
Boulders will be even our small sand,
And your life shall come to an end.

What can i do now but fie!
A solitary bard pray,
Let spite, savage, sod memory lie,
Let only bliss and pleasant memories stay!

No sense Sensation

Suddenly everyone in town or rather music lovers all over the world are "Konvicted". Yes, its AKON everwhere!! Be it headphones while jogging or a cool party with friends-if its Akon your sure to have everyone grooving. Msn,yahoo or orkut,nicknames or personal messages are sure to have Konvict with all the extra $*$#!ss
Me being a self confessed 'serious' music listener (the ones with good beats and extra good lyrics) find myself tapping my feet to everything playing under the title 'Akon'. At a recent party I actually saw the DJ asking people if they wanted to hear something besides Akon as every second song requested was... you know what!!
A Senegalese African, AKON moved to the United States when he was seven. His family is headed by legendary percussionist and jazz musician Mor Thiam, whose expertise for playing the Djembe, a traditional African drum, has been touted as "unrivaled".
Whatever it is,but one things for sure, this dynamic singer/songwriter/producer's music (nonsense though it may be) is simply just lovable! AKON's personal appeal and ability to reach a listener with his distinctive vocals and a relaxed singing style is whats taking him places.
And now I'm off for a drive with friends and its sure to be Akon all the way:)

Destination Next

With the head held high and sky being the limit
I follow the path that is less trodden
Onward through this journey of life
I travel alone in this crowd of millions.

I plan, I decide, on the turns of my life
And for a moment do believe
That this ship of my life I can guide
And steer it through to the other side.

But everytime I put my plan to action
Deeming my ships on clear waters
A sudden storm pours out of heaven
And ship wrecked I'm tossed on a new land.

Thus my life alters with each new turn
And to reach my destination,I shall always yearn.

However,on each new turn of my journey
I'v seen a land I had never seen before
And thus the experience that life brings
Is something I'm greatful for, above all things.

For to reach the top is what I aspire
But what keeps me eager and wanting to live
Is the thought that though lost I may be
There is always a newer land to see.
